Satellite TeamWalks and Connections

Join us in Ohio, Arkansas and California!

Each TeamWalk begins with a Casual Connection to meet and connect with others concerned with HSP and PLS.  Then, head out together for your TeamWalk, walking as much (or as little) as you desire. It's a great day for fun, sharing, learning and taking us one step closer to the cures.

Register using the Registration Form below or print out this mail-in Form. You can even form your own TeamWalk Team and ask your family members and close friends to join you in the TeamWalk. Simply submit an online Registration Form for each Team Member or include their names on the printed mail-in Form. Register by your location deadline to receive one Free Raffle Ticket for the Buzzy Scooter Raffle and a free TeamWalk Heart and Sole T-shirt with $250 or more in sponsorships. Each registered member of your Team is also eligible.

All TeamWalk participants are eligible for the Grand Prize Program. First prize is a $1,500 Buzzy Scooter! Prizes will be awarded based on sponsorships received by September 27 and announced on October 2 at the California TeamWalk.

Satellite TeamWalk and Connection Locations

Toledo, Ohio Saturday, September 18, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Ohio TeamWalk and Connection will take place at Side Cut Metropark. Side Cut Metropark is located at 121025 River Road in Maumee, just outside of Toledo (phone: 419-893-2789).  Located along the Maumee River, this park garners local praise for its beauty and historical value. The park is home to three original great limestone locks and the Battle of Fallen Timbers (1794) monument. A shelterhouse is reserved for the TeamWalk Connection event.

The recommended hotel for travelers is the Holiday Inn at 2340 S. Reynolds Road (phone: 419-8651361). Rooms are set aside at $69.  A Friday Arrival Dinner will be held at the hotel restaurant at 7:00.

Tuckerman, Arkansas (in northeast Arkansas, 90 miles northwest of Memphis), September 18, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Arkansas TeamWalk will take place at the Tuckerman City Park. Tuckerman Park is located at 200 West Main Street. The town's City Hall and Fire Station are adjacent to the Park. The recommended hotel for travelers is Park Inn in Newport, about ten miles from Tuckerman (phone: 870-523-5851).

Pleasanton, California (San Francisco Area), October 2, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The California TeamWalk and Connection will begin at the Valley Community Church, 4455 Del Valle Parkway, Pleasanton (phone: 925-846-6622).  After a Casual Connection gathering, the TeamWalk will proceed from the church into downtown Pleasanton.

The recommended hotel for travelers is the Hilton Pleasanton, located four miles from the church (phone: 925-463-8000). A discounted hotel rate of $72 is available for the “SPF TeamWalk”.  A Friday Arrival Dinner will also be organized.
