About the charity I am supporting:

The Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, founded in 2002, is the only organization in the Americas dedicated to finding the cure for upper motor neuron disorders known as Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia and Primary Lateral Sclerosis. Please visit our website by clicking on the Logo below.

My fundraising target:  $2004 in 2004

Dear Family and Friends,

It is hard to believe but 2004 will mark my fourth year participating in SPF TEAMWALK. Since becoming involved, I have raised $7,500 in support of research and services thanks to the generosity of people like you.

I never thought a day would come when I would hear the words, "you have Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia." Actually, I was first diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and did not learn of HSP until Feb. of 1999.  I have become all too familiar with the uncertainties that a motor neuron disorder bears on a person's life and believe in our efforts.

This year, I am walking in the TeamWalk For Our Cures walkathon in Lexington, MA on August 29, 2004. My goal is to raise $2,004 in the 2004 SPF TEAMWALK for my family and friends who have motor neuron disorders and the 50,000 Americans just like us who grapple with motor neuron disorders each and every day.

I hope you'll sponsor me. All amounts are appreciated and tax deductible. This TeamWalk is not about speed or length - it's about participation. And many of us will be doing what we can to find the cures for all of us.

You can make your online donation using your credit card through PayPal using the button below or print out a mail-in Donation Form that you can mail in with your check or credit card information (by August 20).
