AEPEF - Spanish Association of Familial Spastic Paraparesis 

The Spanish Association of Familial Spastic Paraparesis is a non-profit, non-governmental organization created on October 19, 2002 by a group of patients and their families who seek to answer a series of unanswered questions.

AEPEF's goals are :

  • Provide emotional support to those affected, sick and their families.
  • Guide, disseminate and ensure that they are treated appropriately within an effective healthcare network in which human, health and economic resources are not diluted.
  • That the knowledge of professionals is brought together in centres, enriching the knowledge base of the professionals involved.
  • Seek financial support to help with treatment.

The AEPEF carries out all kinds of actions and activities aimed at improving the quality of life, integration and personal development of its members, as well as promoting the knowledge, study and treatment of PEF.

Registered under number S4023 with the name “Service for the Care of People Affected by Familial Spastic Paraparesis” in the Registry of Entities, Centers and Services of the Department of Family and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid. Registered 42 A in the Neighborhood Registry of the City Council of Paracuellos de Jarama
