EURO-HSP is a Federation of national associations related with a Rare Disease called Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia or Strümpell-Lorrain disease. The federation was made up in 2010 during the project Rare! Together from EURORDIS.
July 2010: The Euro-HSP Statute is registered in Paris, France. Six are the associations that funded the Federation: Denmark, France, Italy , Norway, UK, Spain. Now we count 10 National HSP Associations or HSP Groups joining the Euro-HSP Federation, besides the first six there are now: Austria, Germany, Netherland, Switzerland. Sweden will join soon with the new HSP Association.
At first we exchanged infos about HSP, ways of handling the disease, Quality of life, rehabilitation and then we tried to create a more effective way of staying together, trying to push HSP research in Europe, in a patient perspective. Stronger Together and We Want to Get Cured are our Mottos. We are open to callaboration throughout the world for the sake of the HSP Community.
